Mercury Marine Extended Protection - Outboard Engines

Extended Service Plans buy you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your repair costs are covered. If you don’t have an Extended Service plan then you will be responsible for the total cost of any repairs. It’s a great way to protect your new investment!

We use only genuine Mercury Precision Parts. Labor and deductible is included and all work is performed by our Mercury Marine Certified technicians. This maintains product integrity and it means we know how to get you back out on the water safely.

All Extended Service Plans can be transferred to subsequent owners, this adds product value at resale or trade-in time.

SAL Marine Protection Plan - New & Used

Available for new & used vessels, this program keeps you protected when the manufacture warranty doesn’t. We highly recommend for new stern drives and eligible used boats (+8 previous model years), since the factory warranty is unable to be extended through the manufacture.

Coverage Available for : Stand-Alone Outboard Engines, Outboard Engines, Personal Watercraft, Inboard Engine, Stern Drive Boat, Jet Boat, Stane-Alone CabinPlus, and SportsPlus Extra

A deductible that can be as low as $50 and the freedom to choose from flexible plans and options.

We will make sure your watercraft is taken care of with all the benefits below included, no matter which protection plan you choose.

  • Water/Land Coverage

    Up to five benefits per policy/contract and up to $100 per occurence. Reimbursement for Mechanical First Aid, Battery Service, Delivery Service, Towing and Lift/Haul-Out Service.

  • Towing for Tow Vehicle

    One benefit per policy/contract, up to $100. Towing for the tow vehicle if it becomes disabled.

  • Trip Interruption

    $100 per day, up to $400 in lodging and meal expenses in the event of an eligible breakdown on your watercraft, occuring more than 150 km from your home, which results in overnight repair.

  • Reducing Deductible

    Returning to your selling dealership for an eligible repair and your deductible will be reduced by $50.

  • Transferability

    If you choose to sell your watercraft privately, and unused coverage is transferable to the purchaser, potentially increasing the resale value of your investment

Diamond Kote Appearance Protection Programs

Using your boat should never warrant any worry against permanent damage or staining. Vinyl seating, and gel coat surfaces do not come protected from the manufacture, which is why we offer Diamond Kote Protection Programs.

Our customers have the opportunity to protect their vinyl and gel coat which would be done prior to delivery by our trained detailing team. If you choose to participate in the vinyl protection, you are able to include the Diamond Kote Rip, Tear Burn Warranty.

  • Vinyl/Leather Protection with 6 year warranty against normal spills

    Recommended for boaters who plan to have food and drinks on board. ie. Lake Luncheons, Kids on Board, or Day Excursions

  • Rip, Tear, Burn - 6 year warranty on seating surfaces becoming ripped, torn, or burned

    Available for customers who participate in Vinyl Protection. Recommended for boaters who have Kids, Dogs, or Smoking guests on board

  • Gel Coat Protection with 6 year warranty for damages caused by fading or oxidation, acid rain, tree sap, and bird droppings

    Recommended for boaters who don’t have boathouses, or protected dock areas

Creditor Group Insurance

Our goal is to ensure our boaters maintain a worry-free boating experience, this extends to financing  your purchase. Whether your vessel is new or used, you're going to enjoy it for a very long time. you've chosen wisely and budgeted carefully, but the one option you shouldn't overlook is loan repayment insurance. It's an option that will protect your investment in case of a financial breakdown.

Unfortunately, when something unexpected happens to you such as unemployment, disability, critical illness, or even death, finance payments for your vessel still need to be made. You and your family may consider selling your vessel, but you will most likely still have to make up the deficiency. Protecting your investment, by insuring your payments, is a sound choice. The best way to achieve peace of mind is to plan ahead.

Companion Maxum  will reduce the financial impact on your loved ones if anything should happen to you.

  • Life

    If you were to suffer a fatal injury or illness or become accidentally dismembered, life coverage will pay off the insured portion of your loan

  • Critical Illness

    If you are diagnosed with a covered condition, critical illness coverage provides a lump sum payment that will pay off the insured portion of your loan. A “Living Life” benefit, critical illness insurance is designed to eliminate the financial strain of a vessel loan, giving you the freedom to focus on getting well

  • Disability Insurance

    If you were to become unable to work due to an illness or as a result of an injury, the Accident & Sickness coverage will take care of your monthly loan payments to the financial institution during the eligible period so that you can focus on getting better without the worry of the monthly loan payments on reduced income.

  • Involuntary Unemployment

    If you were to lose your job involuntarily, such as in case of a layoff, the Involuntary Unemployment coverage will cover your monthly loan payments while you are collecting Employment Insurance (EI). You can then, focus on finding another job without the worry of the monthly loan payments on reduced income.

Guaranteed Asset Protection

Companion GAP provides the top-up coverage to your insurer’s total loss payout and provides affordable peace of mind during life’s unexpected challenges. The benefit (up to $30,000) also includes negative equity from refinanced amounts from previous vessel purchases.
