Inside malibu's command center

The Malibu Command Center is more than an evolution. Its functionality has been elevated with a sleeker design that’s built to demand standards for the way you boat. The new ultra wide touchscreen display allows for increased forward line of sight, as well as maximum onscreen content, with richer detail for immersive viewing. Malibu’s simple, all in one screen design keeps primary user control all in one space. Follow along as we take a deep dive into this innovative technology created by Malibu.

ultra-wide touch screen display

The main touchscreen display on the Malibu Command Center is the centerpiece of the helm — an ultra-wide, high-resolution interface designed to give the driver complete control over performance, technology and customization. It serves as the central command hub for everything from watersports setup to navigation and system monitoring, all within an intuitive, easy-to-read layout.

Real-Time System Monitoring
– View speed, RPM, fuel level, engine diagnostics and ballast levels in a fully customizable gauge layout.

Watersports Control
– Adjust Surf Gate®, Power Wedge® III and ballast settings directly from the screen.
– Use factory-loaded rider presets or create and save fully customized wake and wave profiles.
– Fine-tune cruise control and target speeds for different riders and skill levels.

Driver & Rider Profiles
– Create personalized driver and rider profiles that automatically recall preferred settings.
– Customize screen layouts, themes and accent colors.

Navigation
– Access integrated GPS mapping, track routes and monitor heading and location on the water.

Audio & Connectivity
– Control stereo functions, sources and media integration.
– Manage connected system features through Malibu’s operating system.

Convenience & Automation
– Use the “Go Home” function to automatically drain ballast, reset surf systems and prepare the boat for cruising.
– Access key boat systems and configuration settings in one streamlined interface.

Together, these features make the main touchscreen the primary control center for driving, dialing in performance and personalizing the on-water experience.

User-friendly interface

The Command Center is designed to be innovative, effective, and most importantly, user-friendly. The Command Center makes it simple for the driver to see crucial boat data and control key features form the tip of their finger. Efficient touchscreen control and crisp graphics ensure that using your boat is no different than using your mobile phone. Both displays have also been painstakingly engineered to meet IP-67 waterproofing ratings, giving you the peace of mind that your Command Center will remain fully operational throughout even the most demanding surf sessions.

water sports presets

One of the Command Centers standout features is customizable presets for watersports settings — the system comes with model-specific, pre-loaded presets that instantly configure your wake and wave performance for different skill levels and activities, and you can also create and save your own custom presets tailored to your preferences and rider styles. These presets automate settings for features like Surf Gate®, Power Wedge® III, Hard Tank Ballast, and speed targets so you can quickly set up for wakeboarding, wakesurfing, or cruising without manually adjusting each parameter every time you head onto the water. At the touch of a button, specific customizable water sports presets are ready to generate world class wakes and waves for any skill level.

Secondary Display

The secondary display  compliments the main helm screen by giving you streamlined control over deeper, convenience-oriented systems and customization features that enhance life on board. Specifically, on the secondary display you can:

  • Stereo/Music management — control audio playback, volume, sources and media without touching the main screen.

  • Lighting settings — adjust interior and exterior lighting zones

  • Heater control — manage onboard heating functions.

  • GPS maps — view navigation data and maps, helping you track your route or heading without cluttering the main display.

  • MOS custom features — change user interface options like accent colors or language, and personalize screen layouts.

  • Deep system settings — access secondary or deeper system menus for comfort and convenience features not shown on the main display.

Rotary Sport Dial

On the Malibu Command Center, the rotary sport dial is a physical control right at the helm that gives you quick, thumb-friendly access to commonly used functions without having to dive into menus on the touchscreen. It lets you easily tweak things like Surf Gate and Power Wedge settings, adjust stereo volume or track selection, manage cruise control, and make other frequent changes with simple twists, pushes or joystick movements — all while keeping your eyes on the water ahead.

Wireless Charging

The wireless charging feature is built right into a redesigned phone holder at the helm, giving you dual-coil, ultra-fast wireless charging so you can keep your compatible smartphone powered up throughout your day on the water without fumbling with cables. The holder also secures your device even in rough water, and its single-handed operation makes it easy to dock and grab your phone while you stay connected and ready to capture photos, manage playlists, or use navigation apps via the Command Center’s screens.

Smart lighting

Malibu’s fully integrated lighting system, powered by RideController, was the first of its kind to operate seamlessly within a smart touchscreen like the one in the Malibu Command Center. This award-winning innovation gives you complete control over three distinct lighting zones — bow, interior, and storage — allowing you to personalize color and brightness to match any vibe. You can even sync your boat’s lighting to your favorite music directly through the Command Center, creating an immersive on-water experience.
